The contest seeks for photographs of individuals and scenes representing the IREX tagline, “Make a Better World” around the world in one or more of IREX’s seven focus areas:

- Civil Society;

- Conflict Resolution;

- Education;

- Gender;

- Media;

- Technology for Development;

- Youth.

A panel of international development and media photography experts will choose the winners for the Grand Prize and Best of an IREX Focus Area.
