Micro-foundations of conflict and violence - economic analysis and impact evaluation
- February 12, 2015
- World Bank
- Washington DC, United States
- Introduction
- We are seeking new and innovative contributions that shed light either on the micro-economic analysis of peace and conflict or on the evaluation of the impact of projects and programs that aim to reduce violence and promote peace and development. A non-exhaustive list of themes we are interested in is: former combatants, refugees, health and education, corruption and governance, trust and social capital, income and land inequality, cash transfers, mobile technology, police and security, anti-personal mines, elections, taxation, trade. We also have a particular interest in papers that consider the short term and long term effects of conflict and violence on poverty at a micro level.
