This workshop is intended to survey the state of breast cancer diagnosis and management, and the place of MRI in the current clinical workflow. It will offer clinical education to workshop attendees with a technical background, and technical education for clinicians new to breast MRI. The advantages and shortcomings of the current techniques used in breast MRI will be discussed. New and emerging approaches, such as DWI, DTI, MRS, 23Na, and elastography will also be presented.

This workshop is designed for:

Basic scientists and physicians using MR in breast disease diagnosis and research;

Clinicians (oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, surgeons); and

Students and Residents starting in the field of breast imaging.
