- Introduction
- Materials 2015 is more than just a trade fair for (new) materials and their properties. Many material technologies will be represented such as specialist processes, heat treatment, conversion technologies, surface technologies and bonding technologies. These technologies make it possible to create appealing solutions for desired functions. For instance, think of lightweight materials that are of great importance for the automotive industry as well as for aviation and aerospace. Furthermore, on the trade floor, much attention will be paid to solutions for several ‘material challenges’, such as corrosion, adhesion, temperature resistance, recycling and recyclability, wear resistance, UV-resistance and deformability. Of course, topics such as analysis technologies, shortage and damage-research will be represented as well.
