- Introduction
- The seminar provides a global view and specific management practices for planning, monitoring and control processes. It will help Project Coordinators and team members in detecting problems or possible overruns early on in the execution by using clear project status reports.
To meet project objectives, the project team must identify and implement all the necessary activities (including procurement activities) to achieve specified targets. The project baseline is the pilot-chart for reaching the goals and for effective coordination. The project baseline must detail the cost and duration for each activity and assign specific responsibilities to individuals, consultants, suppliers, contractors etc. Deadlines, milestones and baseline budget are key guidelines for monitoring and control. The project team must show effective planning, scheduling, staffing and budgeting skills.
