- The report points out the over 6.7 million borrowers are now delinquent and spiraling graduate and post-graduate tuitions are burdening entrants into the labor market, diverting cash flow which would otherwise be directed into the economy through savings and consumption. At the same time, the government enjoyed a $66 million profit on student loans from 2007 through 2012.
