- Introduction
- The objective of Clean Steel 9 is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest achievements in this important field of the science and technology of steel and to bring experts together, who work in different countries in the above areas to exchange their experiences and views.
The call for papers resulted in 69 abstracts from 22 countries all over the world. According to the evaluation of the scienetific committee the quality of papers is very high; they cover the most important fields including
inclusion formation and modification,
simulation and model calculations,
improvement and control of steel cleanness in practice,
influence of slags,
secondary metallurgy,
remelting technologies,
improving the cleanness of alloy and special steels,
steel cleanness and continuous casting,
assessment of steel cleanness,
