- Introduction
- WCC, an initiative of CashewInfo.com, was conceived to create a global platform for cashew industry to discuss critical issues concerning the RCN and Kernel markets. WCC's objective to involve all the stakeholders was successful. WCC offered a great networking platform, with over 360 delegates from 36 countries participating from over 180+ companies from private, government and non-government sectors.
WCC had over 26 speakers deliberating on issues relevant to the cashew industry ranging from trends in cashew kernel trade, complying with FSMA, financing the value chain, opportunities to engage with Africa, cashew processing technologies and price outlook. The convention also saw a host of parallel sessions on connecting farmers to consumers, vocational training programme in cashew processing, Palasa processing cluster and Impact on employment and environment & lessons.
