The SGA 2011 Organizing Committee on behalf of the SGA Council invites all professionals and graduate students who work in the broad field of economic geology to participate in the next 11th SGA Biennial Meeting to be hosted by the Universidad Católica del Norte, Antofagasta, Chile.  This conference will be held September 26 – 29, 2011 at the Enjoy Hotel & Convention Center in the coastal city of Antofagasta, northern Chile.

The SGA 2011 conference provides an international forum for the presentation of new research and scientific advances in the study of mineral deposits. It also provides a great opportunity for the exchange of ideas and experiences, and for students to interact with leading scientists, industry professionals and other students in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The SGA 2011 meeting, the first of its kind to be held in South America, represents a unique occasion for SGA to promote its activities, particularly in this part of the world where SGA is not well represented.
