  • Introduction
  •  This course is recommended for engineers, environmental scientists and technical staff who want to improve their skills on the behaviour of metals in mine sites and on prevention-remediation techniques. The skills to be acquired are fundamental to all environmental managers in the mining sector that need to define, fulfil and plan the studies and budgets required to prevent contamination from a potential source of metallic contaminant and/or design a remediation scheme of an already contaminated site. A minimum background on chemistry is recommended, as well as a certain knowledge of hydrology and geology.
