This colloquium serves to introduce the best students to the mining industry at the threshold of their careers, and to expose them to communicating their work to a professional audience. We are inviting you to volunteer your top student papers/projects for presentation to this years event.The winner and second prize winnerʼs paper will stand a chance to be published in the prestigious SAIMM Journal. We further invite you to register your other students within the mining and metallurgical disciplines to attend.This year, students from the mining and metallurgical departments for the whole of the Southern African region will be included. The SAIMM wishes to persuade more mining and metallurgical professionals to attend and meet the fine calibre of young persons about to embark on their careers in industry. This has become more important, especially since the demand for mining engineers and metallurgists has risen so dramatically in recent years.
