- What is Dextrin
- Dextrin is white, yellow, or brown that are partially or fully water-soluble, yielding optically active solutions of low viscosity obtained from starch by the action of heat, acids, or enzymes. The higher dextrin resembles starch, while the lower dextrin more nearly resembles the sugars. It is soluble in water but insoluble in alcohol. It is used commercially as adhesives and thickening agents.
