  •  
  • A sweet preserve made from apricots. Jamming basically involves boiling fruits with lots of sugar and some lemon juice, cooking it, and pouring it into clean canning jars. Apricots do not have very much pectin, and the addition of the citrus provides this ingredient, plus giving the jam a lovely tang. It is widely used in breakfast.
