- What is Jalapeno
- It is a chilli pepper cultivated in Mexico. Jalapeno turn red after fully ripen. Jalapeno is 2-3 inch (5 to 9 cm) long and used while still green. It is a very hot type of green chili. It has excellent flavor. The bite provided by this chili is useful in cooking as it can be used to flavor dishes without overpowering them with extreme heat. This variety is used extensively in Mexican cuisine. Varieties of jalapenos include Típico, Peludo, Early Jalapeño (hotter) and TAM Jalapeño (milder.)
