- What is Polydextrose
- As a sugar substitute that is derived from dextrose, polydextrose is used effectively as a low calorie bulking agent in foods such as ice cream, hard and chewy candies, nutrition and supplement bars, and beverages. Polydextrose is a tasteless synthetic form of soluble dietary fiber that is synthesised by combining glucose molecules together with a little bit of sorbitol and citric acid.
