  • Rice is a plant of the family of wheat or oats and it is the world's most consumed cereal after wheat. Rice is a source of magnesium, thiamin, niacin, phosphorus, vitamin B6, zinc and copper. Some varieties have iron, potassium and folic acid. Rice is used in soup, croquette, stuffing, salad, pudding, pie and cake. It is used to stuff vegetables. It is made into noodles (rice noodles), dried cereal, syrup, wine, vinegar, miso and alcoholic drinks.
