  •  
  • Vitamin B1, also called thiamine or thiamin. It cannot keep long term stores in our body, so we need a constant supply of it from our diet. It is often used in combination with other B vitamins, and found in many vitamin B complex products. Vitamin B1 is found in pork, peas, peanuts, wheat germ, brazil nuts, whole meal bread, porridge oatmeal, watercress, courgette, asparagus, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels Sprouts, beans. Deficiency of Vitamin B1 leads to the disease beriberi, a disease affecting the heart and nervous system.
